Rock Bolts – Cable Bolts 23.5mm
Key Features
- Provides a barrier combating the effects of corrosion.
- Top down grouting.
- Unique post grouting system.
- Delivered preassembled with barrel and wedge.
- The barrel and segmented wedge can sustain collar loads of between 52 and 55 tonnes.
Installation Guide Lines
- Drilling
Drill Ø45mm to Ø50mm hole (consult DSI Underground for appropriate length). - Installation
Insert a resin cartridge and gently push it all the way to the back of the hole. Cable ties can be used to hold the resin in position at the back of the hole. - Resin mixing
After insertion of the chemical resin, the DCP- Ten is rotated through the chemical resin at maximum rpm until the DCP- Ten reaches the back of the hole, continue spinning as per directions (marked on the resin anchor box). - Tensioning
The tensioner unit is connected to the DCP-Ten cable bolt and tension applied. - Grouting
The DCP-Ten can be post grouted immediately or at any time later using grouting equipment.
Overview
The DCP cable bolt is the flexible cable version of a tried and proven solid DCP bolt. Pumped grout flows from the side entry port up the annulus between cable and sleave, then down between the sleave and strata. By utilising a barrel and wedge supported 23.5mm cable with the patented DSI Underground grout bell, the resin anchored cable can be post grouted via the top down method. The cable length is encased in a HDPE sleave with deformations to improve load transfer and provide the secure grout path annuli. The barrel and wedge is pre-tensioned to the cable bolt at DSI Underground and shipped ready to install with a compatible dome plate.
